Hello Sunshine. In the midst of the chaos around us my question for you today is “What makes you happy?” Maybe that is the wrong question. “What makes you feel joy?” I believe that there is a difference between being happy and being filled with joy.
What is it that brings you joy? Joy for me would be time with my children and grandchildren. Joy would be waking up to a good cup of coffee and drinking it on my back porch with my husband. Spending quality time with at my parents. Thursday evening’s with my Women’s Bible Study Group. Making pancakes and treats for my grand youngins. My list is compiled of everyday things that are sometimes taken for granted and often pushed to the wayside in our business.
Life does not need to be without JOY. Take a few minutes to think about what actually brings you joy on this day.
Do you know about essential oils? The health benefits they support? We will take a look at different oils, their properties and health benefits to help you to understand them better.
I have always been intrigued by natures healthy influences on the the body as a whole. There are plants and plant extracts that help with things from minor aches to mental instabilities. We are truly blessed to have these oils as alternatives to or even in addition to medicines for better health.
OILS: one at a time.
Peppermint, Lavender, Patchouli, Vetiver, Ylang-ylang etc.
With the current COVID-19 pandemic going on, it has been a little challenging to enjoy these beautiful spring days. Although I try to keep up with the latest or so called current updates, I find myself most often enjoying the moment on my back porch drinking coffee. I so hope that you have a place that calms your spirit in these crazy times.
My county has begun the slow return to the ‘New Normal’. Normal which changes day to day. The Corona Virus, the unemployment of so many workers, having no formal days of schooling since February/March, the over working of those ‘essential workers’ (that need our love and prayers), to the craziness of politics with the up and coming ‘2020 Presidential Race’ and the need for some type of normal.
I hope that you have a solid foundation in your life. A cornerstone that will anchor you in the crazy times and give you hope to continue to move forward through the changes. Be thankful for who you are and what you have even if it is a little. There is always someone out there with so much less.
Today we are held somewhat captive by Covid-19. We seem to have a few different mindsets here in the US. The OMG do not touch me and shut everything down group; the OK I will ride it out group and see what happens group and the ‘WHAT’ you can’t make me stay at home, I’ll do whatever I want group. Yes, there are variations to these groups of people.
I am not sure what group or what reasoning you are using but we will all go through this together and hopefully come out wiser and more grounded. Amazing how our own lives can change in a day or a week.
I am not going to bore you or scold you. I do not walk in your shoes. I have seen life through each and every disasters(hurricane, tornado, floods, blizzards) that we are a strong people. Love, patience and respect are main ingredients to making it through each event.
I am concerned about those who are homeless, living in domestic violence, elderly who maybe confined to there homes and the unemployed during these virus lockdowns. We slowly growing into a anti-socializing country. Do not get me wrong, there are millions of people who sacrifice hours and hours helping others.
There is a lot of negativity out in the world, more so in these times of covid-19 days/weeks. Fear seems to take over our thought processes. We get into the ME FIRST mode as well. Times of distress will test your character. In your mirror what does your character look like?
As I watch and/or listen to the NEWS I find conflicting reports. reports from Covid-19 is %100 contagious and deadly to ‘oh’ it is not much worst than catching any other type of Flu. in these times of television and internet access, how does one determine the Who, How, When and If factors of this flu?
I do not currently have any family with the virus. I do know people who have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The virus does not seem to discriminate by age, gender, race or region. The one thing that have noticed in these past weeks is that FEAR is charging on: sickness, death, job loss, and the government implementing changes into everything. I do not live in the fear category but I do exercise on the side of caution. My family and friends are dear to me and I try to do my part in staying healthy and safe.
About my family, we have his, mine, and ours. No ‘Brady Bunch’ here. My thoughts and actions today are in hind sight of what I have experienced (survived). I am not perfect and not planning to be either. I have learned to take each situation as it comes about, always moving forward. I may glance back occasionally. Life is busy, fast paste, and today just crazy at times.
Family things that I know something about: marriage, divorce, children(whole/half/step/adopted), and a whole lot of the ends and outs. I will not criticize you, laugh at or belittle you. Family life is active. I am not a specialist in family affairs. I can offer some sound advice and I am always here to help lift you up.
